JOB SUMMARY

Santa Clara based Silicon Epitaxy supplier is looking to fill the position of Equipment Maintenance Technician. This job is a “Hands On” full time day shift position and requires the maintenance and repair of Epi reactors and the associated equipment and facilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Perform bell Jar PM’s and other reactor routine maintenance work.
• Gas bottle and liquid tank changes and leak checks.
• Support 24 hour per day manufacturing operation and facilities.
• Provide input and evaluation for cost reduction and improved quality.
• Monitor equipment performance and react as required.
• Managed equipment spare parts inventory.
• Maintain compliance required by all regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Skills and abilities to perform job include: strong analytical skills; strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• In depth understanding of electronic (analog and digital), electro-mechanical, RF and pneumatic principles.
• Able to read schematics, PLC Logic, mechanical drawings, and troubleshoot to component level.
• Experienced in working on equipment powered by 480 VAC power.
• Working knowledge of test equipment and calibration standards.
• Experienced in FTIR and four point probe calibration.
• Wafer cleaning sink repair / maintenance of Megasonic and SRD’s.
• Experience with LPE 2061, Gemini, AMAT and ASM Epi reactors and CVD equipment a plus.

EDUCATION

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related technical discipline) and 5+ years directly related experience preferred, or equivalent.
• Preferred previous work experience includes electrical/electronic engineering experience in a development or Semiconductor manufacturing environment.
