Product Marketing Engineer
JOB SUMMARY
Individual will focus on providing marketing support in the development of product marketing strategies for existing and future products. The successful candidate will generate sales and promotional collateral and training including technical documentation, presentations, market communications and other print pieces, will also support sales and customer activity regarding product support.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills and ability to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Management and ownership of existing and new product lines.
- Coordinate and manage new product release campaigns.
- Promote and support infrastructure and business plan for new product range of power semiconductor products.
- Create marketing collateral: product briefs, sales fact sheets, business wire press releases, presentations, etc.
- Provide product technical support for customers, distributors, reps, and ASMs.
- Support sales force (distributors, reps, and area sales managers) regarding new products.
- Maintain customer support via product support phone line and email.
- Support quotation activities and pricing strategy on a daily basis.
- Provide cross reference requests on a daily basis.
- Research market for potential market opportunities.
- Conduct customer visits for new product development opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities.
- Aid in advertisement and website banner ad creation.
- Attend trade shows, conventions, etc. for new product release introduction and support
- Work with the technical teams to translate customer requirements into technical product specifications.
- Perform top down and bottoms up market analysis on existing and new product markets.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Jr. to Mid-level Engineer (at least 3 – 6 years of experience)
- Good working knowledge of 8051 microcontroller products and technologies
- Good Electrical Engineering background
- Power electronics background considered a plus
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good marketing background considered a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Other Engineering Disciplines.
- In addition to the minimum education requirement, a MS or higher of the above listed areas and/or MBA would be considered a plus.

QA Engineer
JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent in the QA Engineering group is in a multi tasking role that contributes directly to the role of monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of the overall quality system and to be involved in specialized business opportunities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills and ability to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Review all potential special business opportunities such as automotive and determine the proper course of action to ensure IXYS product can meet the critical quality needs of the customer.
- Organize and execute the work required to ensure the proper automotive qualification requirements are met and completed on time.
- Do Failure Mode Analysis where customer quality issues are solved by working to identify the root cause of the problem, making process changes and driving the corrective actions.
- Be the QA engineering interface between IXYS and the customer QA engineering.
- Interface with IXYS offshore assembly contractors to ensure they meet IXYS requirements. Travel may be required when necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BS degree in technical discipline and 3+ years QA experience
- The ideal candidate would also have 5+ years of manufacturing experience in assembly/manufacture and-or testing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to be able to conduct investigations, summarize data, write reports and process related documents.
- A working understanding of the automotive industry AEC – Q101 Qualification for Automotive Grade Discrete Semiconductors
- Understand automotive supplier quality requirements ISO/TS16949 and QS 9000
- Have first hand knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA-FMEA documentation
- Statistical process control training and experience. Six –sigma exposure
